INTRODUCTION: “The night is far spent, the day is at hand…” (Rom. 13:12)
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
Although written more than two thousand years ago, the above Scripture provides a window into the present. The “latter days” will be characterized by a “falling away” (2 Thess. 2:3) from the truth. An accelerating departure from biblical Christianity to religion and philosophy, from the infallible preserved Word of God to the traditions of man, from sound doctrine to false doctrine, from edification to entertainment, from steadfastness to compromise and mixture.
“For the time will come when they will NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4) [Emphasis added].
The Hour is Late, and the Prophesied Time is Upon Us.
We believe that a significant part of contemporary Christianity is guilty of neglect concerning the “perfecting of the saints.” The shallow teachings of “liberal Christianity” and scarcity of sound doctrine leave the multitude of God’s people unlearned, unguarded, and unprepared for the challenges of the final hours of the Church age,” tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine…” (Eph. 4:14).
The Mission of This Website is Summed up in Ephesians 4:11-12
″And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…”
The above verses encapsulate the purpose of this website, serving as an exhortation to spiritual maturity and wise discernment in a time marked by the acceleration of deception, lukewarm Christianity, compromise, doctrinal decline, and moral decay.
Milk and Strong Meat
The Bible mentions two stages of spiritual growth: milk and strong meat (Heb. 5:12-14). Milk represents basic, elementary truths. Meat refers to the more profound doctrines. Although this website provides a brief explanation of the fundamental doctrines through discipleship Lessons, its primary focus is on the deeper, often paradoxical teachings that are responsible for transforming the believer’s life. As Peter spoke of Paul’s epistles “in which are some things hard to be understood…” (2 Peter 3:16) i.e., how can the believer be simultaneously alive and dead?
These enigmatic, liberating truths provide the crucial understanding of the dynamics of the incessant inner struggle, the tug-of-war between the inborn Adamic nature and the new nature, the indwelling Holy Spirit, thereby freeing them to “walk in newness of life” (Rom. 6:4b).
In spiritual warfare, the mind is the battlefield, and we can’t overcome what we don’t understand—the much-neglected, deeper truths that provide the necessary spiritual understanding of the devil’s tactics and overall strategy. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Cor. 2:11). Ignorance of the crucial transformational truths and liberating realities has left the modern congregations defenseless “against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12) unequipped to “Fight the good fight of faith…” (1 Tim.6:12) especially in these last days.
Two Areas of Study
To this end, the site has two primary areas of study: First, listed either on the right sidebar or at the bottom of the welcome page, you will find ten topics under the header.
“Learning the Bible.” The basics, “the milk of the word” (1 Peter 2:2), are the subjects listed as the foundational building blocks of sound doctrine (Basic Discipleship Lessons). The second section, found below
“Living the Bible” lists numerous deeper topics. Subjects that the Bible refers to as “strong meat” (Heb. 5:14).
Throughout its history, Christianity has had a diverse range of followers, including spectators, servants, complacent individuals, and committed believers. However, during periods of intense spiritual darkness, there has consistently been a unique group of faithful believers referred to as the remnant. (Isa. 1:9). “Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.” This website is designed with the faithful few in mind —those who seek to know and live the truth, regardless of the cost—the steadfast who refuse to compromise their convictions. Our purpose is to equip those who understand the times in which we live. To encourage the faithful few who grasp the significance of the current cultural crisis and the consequent decline of sound biblical teaching to hold fast to the “…old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls” (Jerm.6:16).
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Matt. 11:15). “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it…” (Isa. 30:21).
